Amazon Gadget Review: Electronic Makeup Brush Cleaner

There's been so many brush cleaning gadgets thrust on my amazon I'm surprized it's took me this late to buy one, but I have now and I kinda liked it.
There's been the mat that stuck to the sink from sigma with all the ridges on, the glove, (who remembers the glove) again from sigma and then came the hoard of gadgets some claiming to be better than the others that whizzed your brushes within an inch of their life and whirred the dirt straight off, all you have to do it hold it while it gives you vibration white palm and dip it in some shampoo.

I decided to test one of those gadgets because I honestly couldn't be arsed with the task of sitting in the bath on Sunday night cleaning my brushes and then waiting for them to dry. It's a half day job if not longer if you have a lot of makeup brushes. I only have a few but I use them quite often now. I really can't be arsed to do it and then wait for them to dry because I will want to use them straight after. So I wanted something that was gonna dry them as well as clean them.

Have you ever used a hair dryer on your makeup brushes?

*Raises hand shyly* Judge me

I've always wanted to keep up with it and only have to clean around 10 at a time but that would mean I would need around 60 brushes to have ten on rotation every couple of days if I want to use a clean brush for every application.
I've been using a little HACK for well over 7 years now, Mi-Cellar water is amazing for cleaning fluffy crease brushes when it has a darker colour on than what you want to apply. Just wet a cotton pad and swirl it around in the wetness. The pigment will deposit on the pad and the brush will become clean.

But foundation brushes, by eck, they take a shit tonne of pounding don't they. Especially the way I use them, I use the same one for weeks and I'm not even arsed to admit that because I am a normal woman and don't have YouTube money to buy brushes every ten fucking minutes.
I do however have £25 spare to clean the brushes I have with a new gadget from AMAZOOOONNN - ofc affiliate link is coming soon because I honestly think this piece of kit is a piece of fit and hopefully it saves you as much time as it did me!

So PICTURE TIMMMEEE!!!

The brush on the left that seems to be way more corally than all the others is my angled blusher brush, I love it! Super Soft!

The bottom brush at the bottom that is white is the blush brush as mentioned in the other pic! How clean is it now! I bet you didn't think that this brush was originally white!!!!!
What this gadget thingy majig did was totally destroy any brushes that were flimsy! So if you have any brushes that are fluffy, wash them with your hand the force of this does not do them justice, it does however dry ANYTHING. And all the little splatters of the makeup that was embedded ended up all over my bathroom. So yay for me, I do ADORE a bit of cleaning anyways. not.

My Top Tips to use this:

1. Do not wear white while using.
2. Have a towel around
3. Use shampoo for the best lather.

How to Use:

1.Gather brushes to the size of the insert, there's 7 all together and you will have brushes of varying sizes
2. You want a tight fit so your brush doesn't fall out of the rubber hold.
3. Put the rubber hold onto the device.
4. Insert brush into rubber hold while gadget is turned off!
5. Wet Brush in some water
6. Get some shampoo on there, best to have a dish with shampoo in so you can dunk it in
7. Lather the shampoo brush on your hand, or against the sink if you don't want to get hands wet.
8. Fill tracey beaker up with warm water.
9.Dip brush in  beaker filled with warm water
10. Turn on and watch it rotate your brush, the water will go from clear to whatever colour was embedded in your brush
11. When satisfied, take out of water but not out of the beaker for drying while gadget is still on. It will rotate all the water off of your brush.
12. When dry stop gadget.

Fluffy brushes need extra care so it would be best to do them by hand however dense brushes are fantastic for this! I bought this cleaner for my foundation brushes and eye brushes, but all the large brushes pictured above were used for contour/bronzer/blush mainly. It almost made me not wanna use them afterwards as they are super clean and smell amazing!

Lets talk about price, it cost me £19.95 however it has since gone up to £25. They are practically the same however if you want get a cheaper one by all means do that! I wouldn't pay more than £20 for this piece of kit as you have to supply your own batteries and after a while it makes your hand go numb if you hold it for too long however with that in mind, I am glad I bought it because who remembers the days of drying your makeup brushes on a towel that was light enough to see if there was still product in there?

I'm past that now!

Anyways those are my thoughts, I hope you liked this post and as always, leave me a comment with your links, your Instagram's and your Twitters. I love to read them as much as I love writing them.
